No News... but a question...

I have nothing to report today regarding the status or location of my new car. Darn it! But I do have some information to share with my readers (if I have any at this point.)

It was a hot day in Kansas City. I mean, really hot and sticky. It got into the 90s and the humidity was very high as well. By the time I left work and walked through the parking lot to my car, I was sweaty. And I thought to myself:

If I was driving my new BMW would I feel right just hopping into it and getting my sweaty shirt on the nice new leather seats? I don't think so.

And it made me wonder what other BMW owners do. I'm thinking perhaps a seat cover? It would be a shame to cover up such lovely interior, but it would also be a shame to ruin it or mess it up. So what do you do? Leave a comment and let me know what YOU do to protect that nice leather interior.

  1. I would get a cloth cover for the driver's seat only -- and just for summer. I think I would be seriously bothered if sweat began to mingle with that new car leather aroma..... As they say in the South (even though I am not Southern) -- Jus' sayin' z'all....

  2. I think that's a good idea. Maybe just head to WalMart or AutoZone or PepBoys and get a cheap seat cover just to protect the leather from all those things that don't need to come in contact with it. (I'm actually looking forward to putting on some of my favorite Meguiar's Leather conditioner.)

    Thanks for the comment!

  3. You could always do what I do before getting into my 1978 Pacer. It has such nice interior and I would hate to get that icky sweaty smell in there. So I just strip down to my skivvies and drive home that way. It really stinks when I forget that I have to stop at Walmarts on the way, but it's all good. Since I have no air conditioning in that little beauty I have to rely on the kindness of Mother Nature and the horsepower of my little car to cool me down. Thank goodness for working windows. Well, that's my solution, do I win a prize or anything?

  4. Anonymous - Yes. You win the prize with that comment.
